Hi Lorne,

Just had a quick question regarding OpenPage. I read the following article you wrote: Open Page Module Wiki

And up to the bit about FreePBX enabling it and installing it I understand. But then just after the IncrediblePBX instructions there is a bit that says as follows:

From the Command Line

With the ClearlyIP repos enabled, you can install from the command line with

fwconsole ma downloadinstall openpage

I’m not sure, is this just for IncrediblePBX? because it seems to be broken down into FreePBX, TangoPBX and IncrediblePBX and just below it you have this command line and I am not sure if after installing through the GUI do I still need to run the command “fwconsole ma downloadinstall openpage”

Hi @johnr

Broadly speaking, there are two supported ways to install a module on a FreePBX based system.

  1. Using Module Admin in the GUI
  2. Using fwconsole commands at the bash prompt

When installing a module, you choose one of the methods, and they pretty much work identically. Each of the methods outlined in the wiki page are identical, which could be summarized as “With the ClearlyIP module repo enabled, install the module in the usual way”

I shall update the wiki to indicate that you should choose one of the 4 methods outlined.
