I’ve installed OpenPage on FreePBX 17. I want to create a few paging groups for recorded emergency evacuation scenarios. I can see that I am able to add the recorded file in the Prepend Announcement. But the problem is that to activate the page group, when i call it, i still need to record or say a message right? I understand the workaround will probably be to ring the group and record a blank message. But Ideally I want to be able to just dial the page group and all it does is plays the recorded message for that group. How does the scheduler part work? because essentially that’s in the same section and that won’t be looking for a live recording message?

So what i tried was for example selecting the Bell tone and giving the page group a number. I set it to Valet. Then i called the number and the instructions asked me to record a message. So i recorded a blank message and pressed hash. It then played the bell. But this seems a bit intuitive for when I want to just set up some page group numbers dedicated to playing certain evacuation messages.
Valet does a recording prior to playing the page, try not doing it as a valet page.
