Testing in VirtualBox everything works but the username/password creation during installation… user never gets created. going to the IP of the VM gives a “Site can’t be reached” message … Followed the Wiki Post

The initial setup screens create an administrator in Admin -》Administrators, not a userman user. And lack of a user doesnt have anything to do with the error message, is Apache running?

i don’t think apache is running. i am trying a reinstall now

I think it’s a networking issue . the installer gets an IP just fine but after install it’s not getting an IP i am unable to log into the console to check

since the ssh user wasn’t created i wasn’t able to log into console i had to enter ubuntu recovery and create a user which i was then able to get in to console… doing ip a. showed was not getting an IP once i did sudo dhclient i got an IP .
