Rebuild Asterisk in existing FreePBX 17 install

Hello,

I have searched the forum but haven’t found a concrete solution.

I have a FreePBX 17 and Asterisk 22 install on Debian 12.

I want to remove the asterisk as it is and build my own asterisk from the source. How can I go about doing this?

I’ve looked into it, but it doesn’t seem anyone else has had to do this.

I guess the first question is probably, why? What’s the benefit of doing this if you could achieve it?

When installing, you can use the --noasterisk flag.
