Problem with a Grandstream GDS3710

Freepbx version 16.0.40.13

Originally this GDS was registered with a verssion 14 as a chan-sip. We upgraded to 16 and switched to PJSIP. it kinda worked except there was an audio issue where a call initiated from the GDS to a phone the audio from the GDS to the phone was absent. I enabled Chan-SIP and changed the port to 5160 and made the changes to the GDS. The register info is corredct , port, password, etc but the pbx rejects the registration. I can connect a soft phone to the system using the same creds and it works. I am thinking that the GDS is toast. I haven’t defaulted it yet, I need to figure out the default password.

Thanks for any help

Did you fwconsole restart after changing the port?

Yes, as it turns out it needed a firmware update to fix that and also the no audio problem I initially was trying to resolve. An hour with tech support and we are back in business. I admin this was the first one of these I have ever worked on. Now I am responsible for 5 of them, geez.

Thanks for the reply
