So I’m running freepbx 17 and it’s been running well for just over a week. I have a ring group for a shared office space for receptionists which has 4 users in the ring group. It’s set to ring all and if no answer after 30 seconds to to voicemail. It’s also set to skip busy agent and mark answered elsewhere as yes.
It’s been working well. But today I was told a call came in to the ring group but only one of the phones itself rang. Which is quite hard to understand why since the others apparently were not busy.
Is there a way I can look at call history and analysis exactly how that call came in? It comes through IVR. I checked the cdr log and I can see the call is coming to the group.
Looking at the CDR report all I can see was the call trying to go through to 500 which is the ring group number, but doesn’t show which extensions then rang. how do i check which phones it rang? screenshot attached with private details masked out.
I’ve asked the office ring group team to keep an eye on it to see if it happens again.
Using the CDR report, is there a way to look at exactly how a call flowed through the system? for example: if I know that a caller ID called at a certain time then to be able to put that caller ID and date and time into a lookup, then to get some sort of report saying it first went to IVR then went to ring group 500 etc…? Running reports like this will be quite handy for figuring out random issues like this I think.
