Dial Pattern Help

I’m using freePBX 17 and need some help creating a dial pattern for an outbound route. I need a dial pattern to be able to dial any of the following numbers: 999,101,111,112

Not sure what I should put in the match pattern field. I then only want this route to be be allowed for caller ID’s 301,302,309,310

Can anyone help? i’m assuming I need a match pattern and something in the CallerID field.

Thank you.

It’s pretty simple if you only have a few extensions that access that particular route.

  1. Create an outbound route with the emergency numbers
  2. In the caller-id field of each line of your dial patterns, enter the extensions, separated by commas.

For better explanation of the route fields, click the “+” in the green bar at the top.

When creating a Dial Pattern, could I leave callerID blank to make that particular dial pattern available to any callerID or do i need to put dot to use as wildcard for caller ID? or is dot only wildcard for the dial pattern not callerID?

Yes. In the outbound route, if you put extensions in the caller-id field, that route is limited to only the designated extensions. When you create a route and leave the caller-id field blank, all extensions will flow through that route.

You can do quite a bit with dial patterns in inbound and outbound routes. Seems like a good topic for a #FridayFun.
