oh I did, that’s why I read it twice, and since its not 1/4/25 - yet.
But yeah, there been some fiery posts “over there” and I considered it was a way of silencing some decent and not really changing their spots colours, sangomas track record on security hasn’t been all that good and wont recover with one or two gestures, but guess time will tell. I like Stevie Wonder, I’m not one for being superstitious, but I’ll wait till April 2 before I go looking for its availability
Incredable PBX seems to me like Freepbx only with an diffrent GUI.
I give FPBX another try . Just installed a new version yesterday and we will see whats gonna go. But I deceided not to buy any commercial modules. Not for 12 Phones.
BUT: I plan to install 2 Softphones (Android and iOS). Any option what apps are good ? Which Ports I have to open in my Firewall to get Software to work from the mobile network ?
There are lots of softphones out there but I am biased and think we have the best softphone with integration into FreePBX based systems. You can see more information here and how to buy it. Clearly Anywhere | Your Extension, Everywhere You Need it to Be
I am new to FreePBX, and have played with other systems before, I got soft phone working with no issue, sip trunk with incoming and outgoing routes without a problem. If all you need is to make amd recover calls, a small hunt group, IVR and some Voice mail for users or company call handling after hours, then you don’t need any extra modules. I tied playing with incredible PBX and I couldn’t get it to do those basic things mentioned above.
I have mine on a virtual machine, I’m in Australia and I’m using Australian Phone company for my SIP trunks, using Starlink as my internet and have no issues, except for diverting external calls when someone calls externally, but that being said, all else seems to work great.
I love the simple way you can create greetings and at the end you can send them to voicemail, a call group, an IVR or externally.
And yes it is free if you have some free time to work it out.
Crosstalk tutorials are amazing. I have learn lots from their YT channel. I appreciate the help.
we use grandstream’s wave, full featured and free, can use qr code to configure so any “dummy” can get online in seconds, honestly, I don’t see point in (commercial crippleware) zoiper over gs wave , and stay the hell away from bria no way should any third party have access to your sip credentials - ever!
